for the topping:
- frozen filo pastry
for the filling:
- 2 cloves of garlic, chopped
- 1/2 whole onion, chopped
- 1 whole celery, chopped
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 dried basil leaf
- 1 tbsp flour
- 1/4 cup cooking cream or milk
- 1 tbsp freshly ground black pepper
- 1 cubed boiled potatoes (or microwave for 5 minutes)
- 1 cup mushroom
- 1 bunch of spinach
for the egg waSH:
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp cooking cream




method
- preheat the oven at 180c for 30 minutes
- saute the onion, garlic and celery with butter. add in dried basil leaf and freshly ground black pepper.
- add in flour, and cook until brown.
- add in cooking cream, chicken, cubed potatoes, mushroom and spinach. salt to taste.
- pour into a casserole dish. roughly fold filo pastry on top.
- brush with the egg wash mixture and bake for 15 minutes.
