





For the dumplings:
- 1 packet ready-made dumpling wrappers
For the filling:
- 300g of Minced Chicken / Minced Prawn / Minced Shiitake /Minced Tofu
- 50g carrot, finely chopped
- 50g cabbage, finely chopped
- 2 stalks chives, finely chopped
- 2 stalks green onion, finely chopped
- 1 inch ginger, finely chopped (optional)
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp msg




Method
- Chop or blend finely the ingredients for the fillings.
- In a large bowl, mix the filling with a large spoon. Taste the seasonings by cooking a small portion of the filling in a pan or a microwave. Adjust the seasoning with salt or soy sauce.
- To make the dumpling, scoop 1 tbsp of filling and place the filling on the center of the wrap.
- Using the tip of your finger, dip a little bit of water and place the water around the circle of wrap. Gently fold in to create the seal. Wrap carefully so the fillings would not come out.
- Heat up a little bit of oil, about 2 tbsp, and swirl around the pan. With low heat, sear the dumpling, placing the base of the dumpling on the pan. They will brown in about a minute.
- Pour in 1/4 cup of water into the pan and quickly cover with a lid to steam the dumpling. Cook for a few more minutes. Set aside.
- Serve with a side of chili oil and soy sauce.
