
For the cabbage:
- 400g Chinese cabbage (cut about 1 inch)
- 4 tbsp salt
- 1 cup water
For the flour paste:
- 1 tbsp rise flour/corn flour
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1/2 onion
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp chilli powder
- 3 green onion
- 1 carrot/ chives (julienned)
Method




- Soak the cut cabbages with water and salt in a large bowl.
- Mix and leave it soak for 30 minutes. Mix every 30mins, repeat 3 times(total time 1hour 30mins)
- Finally, rinse and let dry.
- To make the flour paste, microwave the ingredients *for the flour paste for 1 min. Stir and set aside.
- In a large bowl, coat the cabbages with the flour paste.
- Taste and adjust the seasoning using salt, sugar or fish sauce.
- Store in a container and leave it at room temperature for two hours before storing in the fridge.
